Just to let you know why I started doing these music programs and why I love working with seniors and even younger people who are sick......
The old hymns have been very special to me throughout my life. It was my grandmother who was very instrumental in showing me how much meaning was in these songs. I can still hear her voice as she sang - especially The Old Rugged Cross. Her faith and love for God showed in every aspect of her life. All who knew her were touched by her kind gentle spirit. After she passed a way I missed her very much. Many times when situations in my life became very hard and I felt like I was all alone, it was the words to these hymns that came back to me reminding me God was always right there with me. I pray you can find comfort in these songs like I have and as you share them with others or just listen yourself, God will touch your heart like he has mine through these beautiful songs. May the good Lord bless you in all you do.
