Hi ...thanks for stopping by It is the first of October and I will be featuring a new home every month. This month I would like to talk about Western Reserve Masonic Home. I just posted a couple of pictures of Marshall Whistler who was aresident there and recently passed away but touched my life in a way I will never forget. He was always smiling although he was so saddened at the passing of his wife June about a year ago. Marshall favorite song was How Great Thou Art which I sang at his Memorial Service. He was a man who loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart. I will always think of him whenever I am there. His memory will live on as I am sure he is in his heavenly home. I am thankful I got to him and his wonderful family.
Western Reserve is a beautiful retirement and assisted living and also a nursing home. The staff are all kind, loving caring people. The activity director, Paula Bogre is so wonderful! She does amazing things for and with the residents. Just recently I had the privledge of doing a song for a wedding renewal sevice they had in the chapel. 14 couples, ages 75 to 95 renewed their vows. I have never witnessed such un-conditional love. It was the most beautiful service ever. Paula asked me to sing a song I sang for her at her wedding over 5 years ago. It was such an honor.
